Can you believe that fall is already here? Although we’ve still had temperatures approaching 90 degrees here in Littleton, little by little, it really is starting to feel like fall. That’s particularly true for the last couple of days, and before we know it, we’ll be saying goodbye to barbecues, baseball, and sun and welcoming in crunchy leaves, blue jeans, and apple cider.
At Summit Riverside Apartments in Littleton, we don’t think that’s such a bad thing. Sure, there’s a lot to love about summer — particularly if you like warm weather — but autumn is a pretty great time of year as well! That’s why in today’s post, we’re going to be sharing a few tips that we’ll be using to settle perfectly into fall. If that sounds like something you’d like to do as well, keep reading to learn more!
Welcome In Fall With…
For many, one of the absolute best things about this time of year is getting to wear comfier clothing. Gone are the days of sweating through your clothing and washing your feet at the end of the day because of all of the grime that stuck to your flip flops. Instead, we get to layer up in comfy jeans, flannel shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, and jackets.
Sure, it can be a little bit difficult to find an outfit that works well throughout the changing temperatures of the average day, but we think that it beats being hot literally all the time. All you have to do is throw on a warmer top layer for the early morning commute to work and the late evening walk before bed and take it off when it starts to warm up during the day.
And, of course, a new season means you get to enjoy making some new additions to your wardrobe. Whether you’d like to add a soft cardigan to your collection or grab a new pair of boots, now is the perfect time to do it.
A Warm Beverage
We mentioned apple cider above, and that’s a wonderful fall drink, to be sure. We’d be remiss, however, if we didn’t mention that much-loved (and much-hated) seasonal beverage that pretty much everyone is talking about. As you probably guessed, we’re talking about pumpkin spice drinks.
Even if you’re a skeptic, we recommend giving at least one pumpkin spice beverage a try this year. There’s just something about it that helps to welcome in fall in a way that nothing else can. If you’d like a classic, grab yourself a Pumpkin Spice Latte; if you’d rather try something new, the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew from Starbucks is a winner.
Don’t want to support a big chain? Help out the local mom and pop coffee shops this season! Many of them will be offering seasonal drinks too. And hey, if you’d rather not try one, it’s hard to beat a nice hot cup of coffee on a cool fall morning, and that just might be good enough for you.
A Day Enjoying Littleton
What better way to get into the fall season than by attending an upcoming event here in our fair city? On October 5, you can head on over to Ketring Park between 9 am and 4 pm to enjoy the 2019 Friends of the Littleton Library and Museum Craft Fair. It’s sure to put a smile on your face as you see what local crafters have been working on.
Or how about the Harvest Festival? It takes place on October 12 at the Littleton Museum. There’s also the Pumpkin Festival in Littleton on October 11 and 12 at the Denver Botanic Gardens or the Corn Maze on October 26.
In other words, no matter what you’d like to do for fun to bring in fall, Littleton has you more than covered!
