Whether you loved it or hated it, summer is almost over. For many, the warm weather is a treat, allowing them to get out and explore the great outdoors thanks to the purple mountain’s majesty that’s on display here in Littleton. Others are yearning for a drop in the temperatures — and it has been very hot this year!

Whether you’re the type of person who loves shorts, flip flops, and days at the lake or you prefer  heavy flannel shirts, beanies, and days at the ski lodge, the fact remains is that summer is just about to come to a close. At Summit Riverside Apartments in Littleton, we have a few suggestions on what you can do to make the transition as smooth as possible and ease your way out of summer and into fall. Keep reading to learn more!

How to Get the Most Out of the Summer That’s Left

See a Rockies Game

Okay…so the Rockies aren’t doing that great this year. Let’s be honest — they’re actually looking pretty bad. What started off as a promising season has devolved into a frustrating experience for everyone involved. The good news? It’s still a blast to go see a Rockies game at Coors Field!

There’s no doubt that Coors Field is one of the best baseball fields in the major leagues, and you still have a bit of time left to see the Rockies play while enjoying some great food and drinks. Don’t let their .443 average (at the time we’re writing this) deter you from going out and enjoying some baseball, because win or lose, it’s still America’s pastime.

Take a Dip

As you probably know, one of our amenities is our outdoor heated saltwater pool. It’s the perfect way to spend a day relaxing. After all, summer is the perfect time to take a dip, and there aren’t all that many days left of summer at this point!

Of course, you can also take full advantage of our barbecue grills for another cookout or two. Everyone loves burgers, brats, hot dogs, and steaks, so invite a couple of friends over, grill up a meal, and then take advantage of the rest of the day. If it’s early enough, you can still make it over to Blake Street to catch some baseball!

Play With Your Pets

Speaking of our amenities, many of our tenants also love the fact that we offer pet-friendly apartments here in Littleton. Colorado is a dog-loving state, and our apartment complex is no exception to that rule! We offer low pet rent, and there are many other furry friends in our neighborhood.

Since it’s still so nice outside, why not make sure you take your pooch out for a couple more days at the nearby dog parks? There are also several hiking trails and other natural areas that are perfect for pets. If you’re one of the “I don’t want to be outside during the summer because it’s just too hot” people we mentioned at the beginning of this post, we understand where you’re coming from. But just think of the look of excitement on your pup’s face when you grab the leash. He knows something good is coming, and sometimes that’s enough to get you outside even when you’d rather be hanging out on the couch.
